Hi, I’m Geochick.

Welcome to my blog. What started out as a private blog to document our adoption journey has evolved into my journey through therapy and spiritual awakening. Without our struggles to build a family, I’m not sure I’d be waking up, and for that I’m grateful.

Luckily we have NOT had that kind of problem. whew. S figured out how to get the range in (more shimming). Good thing he had come home a little early that day because the contractor, after moving the outlet was very kind and shoved the range in. It was resting on one leg and the rest of the weight was supported by the overlap of the glass top onto the counter. Fabulous. If that thing had cracked I would have lost it.

So, my niece just turned one and she is curious about everything. I think she's headed straight for a future in ....ENGINEERING. I've never seen a one year old spend 20 straight minutes wiggling a loose rock out of a crack. That girl was not going to leave until she got that rock! And like any appropriately curious problem-solver, once she triumphantly pulled the rock from the crack she promptly stuck it in her mouth. Hey, she can be the next Dam Engineer in the family! bwahahahaha I crack myself up.

Weekend was a lot of fun - S went mtn biking Friday afternoon in Keystone and got caught in a downpour while I was safely ensconced in the condo catching up on So You Think You Can Dance. Saturday was gorgeous and perfect beer-drinkin' weather! There was some bluegrass being played too. I think. Must've been that crowd I pushing through to get to the next beer-tasting tent. ;-p

Things Change...
