Hi, I’m Tara.

What started out as a private blog to document our adoption journey has evolved into my journey through therapy, spiritual awakening and whatever I feel like writing. Without our struggles to build a family, I’m not sure I’d be waking up, and for that I’m grateful.

My Poor Husband...

Must be really happy there's only 1 book left for me to read.  I'm obsessed just as I knew I would be if I started this series.  Hence the reluctance to do so.

The third one is definitely my fave so far.  Still annoyed at the underlying message.  Forcing an 18 year old into marriage just to get laid?  SERIOUSLY!  I know, I know, it's YA so she can't do much there without getting slammed on the other side but good grief I don't like this message either.  Oh, she could actually send the girl off to college for crying out loud and they could get married afterwards.  Oh yeah, then the celibacy message is a little harder sell.  *argh!*  So instead it's ok to be married way too young, then hey go for it!  Methinks the author's own experiences speak too loudly in her stories.  And mine color my perception....yeesh it's a struggle.

I finally got around to setting up an appointment with our new caseworker.  Feeling anxious right now and I don't think I can stand not knowing where we are in the list.  We'll meet with her next Friday and get an update then.
