Hi, I’m Geochick.

Welcome to my blog. What started out as a private blog to document our adoption journey has evolved into my journey through therapy and spiritual awakening. Without our struggles to build a family, I’m not sure I’d be waking up, and for that I’m grateful.

shhhhh...don't tell anyone....

My cousin who just moved out here with her boyfriend inquired about custom jewelers today....hmmm....luckily none of you know my mom or her mom so I'm pretty comfy posting this! Hope it doesn't bite me in the butt. :)

We spent the weekend in Crested Butte. We had a blast, S got to ride an EPIC mountain bike trail (so he says, although he did have to battle a herd of cows for passage) and I took the dog on a pretty tough hike that started at the top of a mountain above treeline and proceeded to travel straight down the mountain. It was so steep that mountain bikers have almost no hope of making it all the way up on their bikes and I passed a few poor souls that a local was apparently having a bit of fun with when they asked about a good trail. On our drive home Sunday we decided to take a drive off the beaten path and drove over Cottonwood Pass, a gorgeous drive and well worth the extra time it took to get home. All in all, a nice restful couple of days.

I should probably mention that we did buy a onesie for our future baby. I'm on a kick now of getting a little outfit anywhere I travel and especially if something catches S's eye, I'm on it like white on rice. I had the whole day off yesterday and didn't manage to take a pic so I'll have to post that later. What a slacker! In my defense I was learning Jazzercise routines, getting my hair cut and colored and the floor guy was working in the kitchen so I was banished to the office while I was home. Yep, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
