Hi, I’m Tara.

What started out as a private blog to document our adoption journey has evolved into my journey through therapy, spiritual awakening and whatever I feel like writing. Without our struggles to build a family, I’m not sure I’d be waking up, and for that I’m grateful.

Race for the Cure

but first....   A HUGE Congratulations to Denver Jen who is no longer Waiting for Bambino as her family and birthfamily celebrated the birth and placement of Nora Grace this week!  Jen's been a great help to me since I discovered her blog a few months ago.  She's been willing to answer questions and even gave me a couple of pediatrician's practices to check out along with a great list of questions to ask.   Thanks so much Jen and I look forward to continuing to read your blog!

Today was the first time that I've done Race for the Cure.  I know, I know, how have I missed this?  Oh yeah, something about the huge crowds and getting up before the sun comes up on a weekend...not my favoritist (not word) in the world.  But, this year a fellow instructor put together a team from Ja.zz.ercise so I got myself signed up and managed to raise $500 despite the fact that I registered a week ago.  :-)

It was a chilly morning and the sun didn't come up fast enough for my sissy bones.  At least we had some sunshine on the walk which helped warm me up.

In addition to the walk I also had a wedding shower to attend.  Opening the gifts was slightly amusing as the bride-to-be purposely broke 3 ribbons just so that she, of course, gets her 3 kids she wants.  Yeah, I used to think 3 kids, then when we started TTC somewhat late in life we decided 2 would be great.  Now its, "well, lets see how this goes."   Will we really want to jump back in  the pool with 3-6 month-old?  Because that's what we're going to have to do not knowing how long it will take to be matched.  This is a little more "family planning" than I bargained for.

Fair Warning...Probably TMI...
