Hi, I’m Tara.

What started out as a private blog to document our adoption journey has evolved into my journey through therapy, spiritual awakening and whatever I feel like writing. Without our struggles to build a family, I’m not sure I’d be waking up, and for that I’m grateful.

Number 28

I got an update from our caseworker before she leaves the agency.  Nice little jump over the past couple of months but still a pretty long way to go before we're close to our best chance at being profiled.

Currently I'm feeling pretty good about things.  I feel like we're on the backside of the waiting curve, we have several tasks that need to be accomplished around the house, and I'm so busy at work I can hardly see straight.  Not too much time and energy is available for me to stress out over the wait.  Besides, I think my What If? post was especially cathartic and I've felt somewhat relieved since I wrote it.  Almost as if I'm coming to peace with the infertility.  S and I's intimate life is finally getting back to "normal", you know, before all the TTC scheduling-waiting-only-to-fail madness and I think that's signaling a change in both of our attitudes.  It's like, "oh yeah, this is supposed to be fun and spontaneous!"  It sure wasn't for a very long time.

Check back in a couple months to see if I'm still feeling the same way.  ;-)
