Hi, I’m Tara.

What started out as a private blog to document our adoption journey has evolved into my journey through therapy, spiritual awakening and whatever I feel like writing. Without our struggles to build a family, I’m not sure I’d be waking up, and for that I’m grateful.

I keep getting to Fridays and the last thing I want to do is work.  I have a presentation today at 12:30pm that I need to review, not to mention a report I need to start writing but I’m thinking ahead to hitting the giant craft fair downtown this afternoon then going out with friends.  It’s a packed day for sure.

Last night was a fun night.  I went out with a couple women who have adopted through our agency.  It’s so great to talk to people who have been exactly where I am now and to know that as long as we keep waiting and stick it out with the agency, we’ll have a baby.  There’s just that patience thing that’s a bitch…

This weekend is equally packed.  Tomorrow is cloth diapering and babywearing classes and Sunday is infant CPR.  The mountains have gotten pounded with snow practically all week…*sigh*.  No skiing this weekend but at least we’ll get this stuff out of the way and in December all weekends are officially ski weekends.  Except for those ones where we have to work on the nursery and our bedroom.   At least we have a contractor scheduled to start December 2nd.  Progress!

So far this is shaping up to be my favorite kind of Colorado winter.  The mountains are getting some major snowstorms and it’s 40 to 60 degrees with sun down here in Denver.  Sure, we’ve had a couple of nippy days and a little bit of rain/snow but it doesn’t last long.  Keep it up weather!

It's Monday
