Hi, I’m Tara.

What started out as a private blog to document our adoption journey has evolved into my journey through therapy, spiritual awakening and whatever I feel like writing. Without our struggles to build a family, I’m not sure I’d be waking up, and for that I’m grateful.

#MicroblogMonday - Family Pictures

Over Thanksgiving, all 3 of my brothers will be in town, so my mom has decided we need a family picture done. The last time we had a family picture taken it was at my brother's wedding (and I never got one, ahem). Currently, the picture is scheduled for 1pm, because that's an awesome time for an 18-month (my niece) and 3-year old to take pics! It's also supposed to be outside...perfect for the 12-week old baby.

I agree that we are overdue for family pictures, and it's a great idea to get them done now that we will all be together for once. But taking them inside a studio at 10am would have been the easiest to coordinate, no?

We're also in this problem area of clothing when it comes to X. He hates buttons, zippers, jeans, and well, everything that's not sweat pants, shorts, t-shirts or pajamas. That prompted a shopping trip to get something that X might actually wear.

Just call us the preppy family...

Now excuse me while I move to the 'burbs and buy a minivan
