...and so begins my new career-life as the program manager. No more calculations, no more design drawings, no more analysis, just lots and lots of meetings, decisions, prioritization of projects, and an introduction to the politics that abound when it comes to water supply.
By the time I got the call on Friday afternoon, I was an anxious mess. I worked from home in the afternoon in order to stay cloistered and somewhat focused on the task at hand. After the confirmation that yes, they want me, I felt relief...and more anxiety. I've spent the weekend coming to terms with the fact that today I will tell my crappy supervisor that I no longer work for him. *happy dance*
