Usually we take a drive for the Fall colors once half of the leaves have dropped because we aren’t paying attention until it’s almost too late. This year we had a gift wrapped in a not-so-pretty package, so we made the best of the situation.
X gave himself a mild concussion early last week and we had to try to keep him resting after finding out from his Occupational Therapist several days later that his eye tracking was still off. She had a strict prescription of “being bored” and “no screens”, both of which sent him into the stratosphere with disappointment. She didn’t even want him doing yoga as keeping the head rested and not moving much was our goal. (hahahahahaha, such a lofty goal for an active 8-year old) Saturday we knew would be a nightmare between trying to keep him from not being too active playing with the neighborhood kids and dealing with non-stop badgering for screentime. I had a brilliant idea - maybe we see the trees turning before the leaves drop! Whoa, that’s novel.
